Following a week off of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals grind, Billy Moyer returned to the "Hell Tour" over the July 6-7 weekend with fresh equipment and promptly put his famed #21 machine into victory lane to garner his 99th series triumph! On Friday night at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, where Billy has had so much success throughout his illustrious career, he posted the second fastest time in his group during qualifying before taking the win in heat race action. After leading laps 6-26, the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer regained the point on the 34th circuit and never looked back on his way to bagging the $10,000 windfall over Brian Shirley, Jason Feger, Kent Robinson, and Tim Manville! Another $10,000 top prize was on the line on Saturday evening at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois. Billy stopped the clock second fastest in his group during qualifying before running third in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the 40-lap headliner, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" raced hard on the slippery racing surface and eventually netted an eighth place effort.
