Billy Moyer Set to Invade Baddest Bullring in the South Following
Pair of Podium Finishes!
(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) A week removed from his illustrious sixth 'World
100' victory, Billy Moyer and his #21 team ventured to the St. Louis
area for a pair of high-profile events over the September 17-18 weekend.
On Friday night, the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois played
host to the 'Dodge Ram 50.' Billy timed in second fastest in his group
during qualifying and later won both his heat race and the dash. After
starting from the pole position in the $7,000 to win A-Main, Billy ran
a solid race and wound up third in the final rundown behind only winner
Tim McCreadie and runner-up Shannon Babb.
The following evening saw the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team in action
at the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri. The World of Outlaws Late Model
Series sanctioned the annual running of the 'Pepsi Nationals' and a
$10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Billy was third quickest in WOOLMS
time trials and later won his stacked heat race. The Batesville, Arkansas
native took the lead on two different occasions during the 55-lap main
event before winding up second behind winner Shannon Babb. Complete
results from the doubleheader weekend can be found online at www.dirtondirt.com.
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) will return to Dirt Late Model competition
this upcoming weekend (September 24-25) in the 21st Annual 'Magnolia
State 100.' The Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi will play
host to one of the south's most prestigious events this weekend and
a hefty $25,010 winner's check is on the line. Qualifying and heat races
will be held on Friday night at the "Baddest Bullring in the South,"
while the consolation events and the 100-lap main event will headline
the weekend on Saturday evening. Billy is a seven-time winner of the
'Magnolia State 100' and will be gunning for his record eighth title
this weekend. Additional information concerning the 'Magnolia State
100' can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.columbusspeedway.net.
